Mod 3, Unit 2, Activity 2: Blog

For this week's assignment, we had to create an IEP or plan of differentiation for a student within our grade band/choice. I think this was a great activity to work on since we will be implementing this in the classroom for all different kinds of cases. I mentioned in my strategies for the case study student that I would include larger texts, activities with larger prints, as well as including different technologies such as Epic! to help the student with reading (either in a small group or independently). It is a great app that allows for the user to read digitally and manipulate the texts in different ways such as enlarging it, having it read aloud. For this particular case study case it would be best to also incorporate oral or verbal activities such as reading aloud or sounding/tapping out words when working on literacy. These are all multisensory strategies which are useful for students to enhance their skills.
